Meet the team that keeps our Association running behind the scenes.

Laurice Grae-Hauck

Acting Executive Director

Laurice’s UU career path began at the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of New Jersey, where she was the Outreach Coordinator and Business Administrator. She comes to AUUMM from New Jersey Theatre Alliance where she was the Manager of Digital Communications and Marketing. Her biggest achievement at the Alliance was helping to launch a ground-breaking public-private partnership, Show-Score NJ, the first regional edition of the “Rotten Tomatoes for theatre”. Bringing her UU values and social justice background, she was instrumental in forming the Alliance’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee and served on a similar working group for ArtPride NJ. Laurice’s EDI work with the Alliance introduced her to Equity Quotient, a national consulting firm dedicated to transforming the arts through the lens of erasing racism to achieve cultural equity, for whom she now does organizational training/facilitation and communications strategy. A nonprofit communications specialist, Laurice also runs a consulting business, Voice & Vision Digital. She currently serves as the communications chair for the Association of Performing Arts Service Organization.

In her free time, she loves to watch movies with and cook for her husband, Markus, and daughter, Beatrice, and dreams of being best friends with Brené Brown. Laurice is an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair as a singer, religious educator, communications consultant, and Minister of Hugs. She believes that music is an integral part of building beloved community and sustaining social justice work.
