If you're working as a staff musician at a UU congregation, join Jan Gartner from the UUA and AUUMM President Jen Hayman for a conversation about polices, norms, and best practices related to the employment relationship. We'll talk about tracking hours, salary and benefits, time off, supervision, and other topics of interest to you! Price is $30 for non-members, and free for AUUMM members.  Jan Gartner is Associate Director of UUA Church Staff Finances. She oversees the Compensation Team and helps congregational leaders and staff with a wide variety of employment-related matters. Jan lives on Seneca land near Rochester, NY, and is an enthusiastic soprano in the First Unitarian Church of Rochester choir.
 Jen Hayman is an accomplished choral conductor, educator, singer, and pianist who believes in the power of music to change lives and culture. In her 18 years of working in Unitarian Universalism, Jen has served congregations in Philadelphia PA, Washington DC, Arlington VA, and Cambridge, MA. She is currently serving as the President of the AUUMM, and directs the women’s vocal group, bēheld.
